The EpsomDX is a cutting-edge mobile application that leverages augmented reality (AR) to bring the town of Epsom to life in new and exciting ways. The app serves as a digital gateway to explore Epsom’s rich history and culture, offering users interactive art, engaging games, and immersive audio trails.
Design process
- User Research. Conducted user interviews and surveys to understand the target audience’s needs, interests, and technological comfort levels. We also researched existing AR applications to gather insights into best practices and user expectations.
- Concept Development. Brainstormed various ways to incorporate AR into the user journey. Ideas included interactive historical reenactments, AR art installations, and gamified tours of the town.
- Design and Visual Development. Crafted a vibrant and playful visual style that reflects Epsom’s lively atmosphere. The design included bold colours, clean typography, and intuitive iconography to ensure the app was both visually appealing and easy to navigate.
